International food, street art, and a pub tour

Last Saturday Jan 14, I went into London and had brunch with my friend Stephanie, who I met when I lived in Boca Raton for a year. She lives here now, so it was great to meet up with her! We ate at Ottolenghi's restaurant near Shoreditch.

After saying goodbye to Stephanie, I walked around the Shoreditch area to see the international food market, street art (it was currently mostly just graffiti, but I did get pics of a few interesting things that could be considered art), and vintage shops.

Some pics of travel into London. To get from Bromley, where I'm staying, into cool places in London, it takes about an hour door to door, and it requires a bus, an above ground train, and a couple of underground tube trains. The main tube station I go to is Victoria, though I have yet to take a pic of that one.

On Sunday I went back and took a pub tour in the Soho District. We went to four different pubs (I can't remember the names of them, but they were cool.) Then I went to dinner with a few people I met on the pub tour. What I'm learning is that a lot of people travel solo and do these tours, so it's nice to talk with folks who are in similar shoes. I LOVE exploring in the city on the weekends!
