Pottery, dancing, and treating HIV

The past couple of days, the Rwanda study abroad crew has been learning about the prevention of HIV at We-Act Center.

We also saw Rwandan art and artists at several local museums.

We had a traditional dance lesson at Inema Art Center. I made friends with the teacher, Christian, and went to visit several other things he is involved in.

On Saturday, we went out of town on an adventure. We made pottery with women at a cooperative that supports their income.

Then we visited the Kings Palace Museum, which included heading the royal cows (called Inyambo). The video is of the handler singing a praise song to the cows. Apparently they like that.
