Wednesday morning we went to Kakum National Park with my sis Delali. The hanging bridges were so cool!
And then we went to the International Stingless Bee Center and learned all about that. Very interesting.
Wednesday afternoon we went to eat fufu for lunch at a local restaurant called Ahema Locals in Cape Coast, where are we also got to pound some fufu in the kitchen.
Then we went exploring around the market to buy spices, fabric, and “Ghana must go” bags.
Then we went to tour Elmina Castle and see the fish market with all of the fishing boats.
Finally, we had dinner at Oasis Beach Resort with some of my favorite colleagues and good friends that I’ve made here.
This rounded out my time in Cape Coast. What a whirlwind of a trip, both while they were here and in the four months that I’ve been here. I can’t say enough great things about my time with these people. They definitely made my four months more enjoyable. Having good friends is worth its weight in gold.
